Goodbikes is a powerful community-driven initiative promoting sustainable transportation and bike donation in Namibia.
Mobility is more than transportation. It’s access to work, safety, education, and independence. #Goodbikes collects used bikes, nearly-new traveler bikes, and donations to purchase new bicycles, which are restored and distributed to those who rely on them most.
Who receives the donated bikes?
Recipients are identified and verified through the Swakopmund Municipality to ensure fair and transparent distribution.
What types of bikes can I donate?
We accept: Used bikes in repairable condition; Almost-new bikes from travelers; New bikes purchased by donors
Do you accept financial donations?
Yes. Funds help us buy new bikes, spare parts, and cover maintenance. Even a small amout really does help.
Where can I drop off a bike?
At Desert & Ocean coworking in Swakopmund. Collection can be arranged upon request.
How do you guarantee transparency?
Each donated bike receives a unique metal GoodBikes plate, registered and tracked through our system.
Who maintains the bikes?
CYMOT ensures all donated bikes are professionally repaired and safe to use.
Can businesses or groups partner with you?
Absolutely. We offer partnership opportunities for sponsorships, co-branded initiatives, and community programs.
